CHAMONIX - NICE

This is an epic journey from the massive glaciated peaks and granite spires of Chamonix to the deep blue Mediterranean Sea, crossing 12 major Alpine cols.  We climb and descend many of the best cols of the Tour de France including the Col des Saises, Cormet de Rosland, Col de l’Iseran, Col du Télégraphe, Col du Galibier, Col d’Izoard, and the Cime de la Bonette.  Much of the first three days is spent staring at snow-capped peaks.  Once over the summit of the Galibier, the character of the terrain changes as the glaciers give way to the beautiful arid landscape of the Queyras National Park, and finally the spectacular red rock of the Mercantour National Park, which leads us to spectacular blue Mediterranean Sea in Nice.
